Carys turner is a performer from Edinburgh. From a young age, Carys has always been interested in the arts and started her studies in 2018 at Performing Arts Studio Scotland where she was able to gain her HND and BA in Dance and Drama through Kingston University. Through her studies, Carys has been able to gain new experiences and skills such as taking part in an international workshop with ITAC. There she taught people on the other side of the globe in Ganda how to tell stories through movement. In 2022 she performed at the Babel Theatre Festival in Romania, taking on the challenge of learning how to perform street theatre. She also took part in her first Fringe production here in Edinburgh last year.

Carys takes great pride in her creative work and enjoys working with unnaturalistic styles such as physical theatre as a way of expression that words can’t quite convey. She bases a lot of her work around women and young people. She wants to make an impact with her work keeping it bold, in your face and rememberable. Having a lasting impact to educate people in the way of positive change.
